No Permission Needed to Make Your Home Perfect

Too often, clients ask us for permission to have the design elements they want. “Can we get huge windows in the front?” Yes! “Could we enclose a soaking tub inside our walk-in shower?” Absolutely.

The only time we can’t do exactly what you’re looking for is when there are zoning or budgetary constraints. At that point we go through why we have to do things a certain way, but how we can compromise to deliver as close as possible the end result you’re looking for within those constraints. 

The reality is you don’t need our professional consent to go down a certain road – our job is to figure out how to make it happen.

You’re On the (Desgin) Team!

Our goal is to deliver not only a functional space, but one you love that meets your needs today as well as in a decade. To successfully do that, we need your input on how you use different spaces in your home. As an example: let’s say you love baking bread, but your kitchen has a wall of windows facing west that bring in a ton of natural sunlight in the afternoon. That makes it difficult to keep the temperature steady (which is necessary for the yeast to rise perfectly), and you don’t like proving drawers because they diminish flavor. 

If we’re keeping the kitchen where it is, we’re going to look at multiple options. Maybe we just need new windows that are better insulated with a transparent UV protection layer, maybe we need to improve the ventilation in the kitchen and add a thermostat in the kitchen to better regulate the temperature. 

At the end of the day, we need to design your home with regards to how you intend to use your home – that’s why we need you on the team.
